Cruz Pedregon
I’m surprised this hasn’t made the front page yet. I’m not sure what kept the body on the car, the parachute shrouds or the recently adopted tethers.

looks like the guy inside farted so hard it propelled the car forward and almost took the body off.

I know the tethers are there for safety, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT:
4 wheels off is not good.

I think it has something to do with the 5-10 flaps which opened in the body. I’m pretty sure the one on the roof is for getting out when you can’t lift the body but the one on the hood looks like it is designed for just this situation.

All those flaps and stuff, along with the tethers, are there to minimize the concussion damage from a blower explosion. The wheelie bars are supposed to keep the car from going up like that, but once the air got under the body...
I wonder if they were running into a strong head wind.

Technically I’m still correct, but 6 wheels off is even worse!

At almost 300 mph you could get a brick to generate a sizable amount of lift.

True, but with all the downforce these bodies make... The wheelstand is not unusual. Having the back of the body come undone and lift like that... it’s the first time I’ve ever seen it.

The one on the hood would’ve really helped stabilize the thing, whether that was it’s purpose or not. Happy aerodynamic side effect at the very least
